The NMSC is authorised to provide multidisciplinary advice in the context of requesting mobility assistance from the health insurance fund, and is also recognised as a multidisciplinary team by the VAPH.

The NMSC works solely with adults. There is a consultation with the rehabilitation specialist before an application can be started. They will decide if the team has the necessary experience and expertise to deal with the application further.
