Imelda Hospital starts collaboration with the National MS Centre

The National Multiple Sclerosis Centre vzw (NMSC) has had a care process, which is carried out by the Transmural Multiple Sclerosis Team (TMST), since February 2015. The multidisciplinary consultation, where people with MS or related disorders can go for an evaluation of their medical, physical, psychological and social needs, is central to this process.

To keep the threshold for access to the TMS team as low as possible, the NMSC has already signed a collaborative agreement with UZ Leuven, UZ Brussels and OLV Hospital Aalst in recent months. Since 21 October 2016, people with MS or related disorders have also been able to visit Imelda Hospital Bonheiden for a multidisciplinary consultation by an assembled team – with a neurologist from Imelda Hospital and a rehabilitation specialist, nurse, dietitian, social assistant and physiotherapist from the NMSC.

For more information, please contact the TMST coordinator: 02 597 86 36 or TMST@mscenter.be
