General information about the legal relationships between the hospital and the practitioners

In accordance with the law on patient rights, every patient is entitled to information from the hospital about the legal relationship between the hospital and the practitioners (employees) who work there.

The following ruling applies in the National MS Centre:
 

• All employees (pharmacists, paramedics, psychologists, nurses, care experts, …) are employed as an employee in the hospital and their liability is covered via the hospital.
• The doctors, bandagers, physiotherapists for treatments outside the RIZIV convention, pedicurists, podiatrists, beauticians and hairdressers are excluded from this rule. These practitioners work independently and are fully responsible for their own professional liability.
