The NMSC thinks it's very important to also makes its expertise available outside the walls of the NMSC. The Transmural MS team therefore works 'on site' together with MS teams in a number of university and general hospitals. A multidisciplinary screening consultation with 6 disciplines is organised regularly in these hospitals. People with MS are assisted by an assembled team, whereby the neurologist and nurse from the hospital in question collaborate with a rehabilitation specialist, physiotherapist, social assistant and dietitian from the NMSC.

People with MS can currently go to UZ Leuven, UZ Brussels, OLV Hospital in Aalst, St-Blasius hospital in Dendermonde, Gasthuiszusters in Antwerpen, RZ Heilig Hart in Tienen, Heilig Hart in Lier,  AZ Damiaan in Oostende, Jessa hospital in Hasselt and Imelda Hospital in Bonheiden for this. Other collaborative agreements are in the making.
